Time to read: 3 minutes
Article at a Glance:
- Wholeness matters: Body, heart, mind, and spirit are interconnected, and neglecting one affects the others.
- Small steps count: Balance doesn’t require big changes; small, intentional moments can nourish you.
- It’s not about doing more: This is an invitation to check in with yourself, not add to your to-do list.
- Redmond’s approach: We create space for all four areas through culture, connection, and purpose.
Our mission is to elevate the human experience in body, heart, mind, and spirit.
Why so specific?
We’ve written about these four facets before, but we haven’t written about this important tidbit: you need them all to feel grounded.
We’ve written about these facets before, but here’s the deeper truth: when even one is neglected, the others suffer too. We become lopsided, and eventually, depleted.
Neglect Has a Ripple Effect
Take the body, for example. If you don’t exercise, don’t prioritize sleep, live off Pop Tarts and Diet Coke (nothing wrong with those in moderation, but a balanced foundation they do not make) your body won’t feel great.
You might push through for a while but eventually, your body will protest.
And if you feel physically icky, how clearly will you think? How well will you show up for your relationships? How connected will you feel to a higher purpose?
All you’ll be able to think about is how tired and achy you are.
Or maybe you’re solid on the physical side with regular workouts, decent sleep, meals that mostly resemble food, but your relationships are struggling. Maybe you feel disconnected from your people. Or you’ve been in go-go-go mode and haven’t had a real conversation in a while. That starts to wear on your heart.
Or maybe your days are full, but nothing’s really stretching your mind. No new ideas, no time to think. Maybe it’s been a minute since you felt curious about something. That part of us needs attention, too.
And then there’s spirit, that part of you that wonders, “Why am I doing all this?” You can do everything else “right” and still feel a little listless if you’re not regularly connecting to something bigger than yourself.
We’re not saying you have to light a candle and meditate for an hour (unless that’s your thing. Then go for it!). But noticing what gives you meaning matters.
This Isn’t About Adding More

None of this is meant to be one more thing on your to-do list.
It’s just an invitation to check in.
We get it. Life is full. You’ve got a lot on your plate, and even more on your mind. That’s exactly why small, intentional moments can make a difference.
We’re talking about moments like…
- A ten-minute walk to move your body.
- A quick check-in with a friend.
- A podcast or a few pages of a book that makes you think.
- A breath at the end of the day to notice a moment of beauty or meaning.
It’s less about doing more, and more about noticing what might nourish you, and giving yourself permission to explore that.
All Parts of You Matter

Your body, heart, mind, and spirit aren’t separate. They affect each other. They’re all part of you.
That’s why we try to make space for all four in our culture at Redmond.
- Nourishing products and movement opportunities to care for your body.
- Conversations that stretch and engage your mind.
- Team connection that fills your heart.
- A shared mission that can invigorate your spirit.
We don’t always get it right. We’re experimenting and learning, just like you. But we want this to be a place where we value wholeness.
So if this week’s been a whirlwind (or a wash), no judgment. Just maybe take a breath and ask:
Which area of my being needs a little attention right now? What can I do today to improve one of those areas?
That question alone is a great place to start.
